Cost of services

Advance booking for educational settings


Educational settings can contract blocks of time. The minimum contract length is for one term of at least 2 days or 4 half days. A service level agreement (SLA) will be drawn up for this type service delivery. Buying in time via SLA is more cost effective than Pay As You Go.

Daily fee (6 hours contact time)                            £500

Half day fee (3 hours contact time)                      £300

Day and half day fees include:

  • Preparation
  • Follow up, including a written visit record and brief written summaries of consultations or discussions, as needed. Time for longer reports (such as support for an EHC application) is taken from contracted hours, subject to prior agreement.
  • Travel time and costs up to a 30 mile radius of Harborne, Birmingham


Pay as you go

Any other booking that is not a day or half day block will be charged at £95.00 per hour, plus 0.45p per mile and £40.00 per hour travel (travel time will be charged in 15 minute units of £10.00 per unit) for distances over a 30 mile radius of Harborne.


Training


Daily fee (6 hours contact time)                            £500

Hourly rate for twilight sessions                           £85 per hour


Fees include handouts, which are usually sent electronically; hard copies will be provided for up to 20 participants.


The fees above  are for delivery of pre-prepared training packages. Details of training packages offered can be found on the Training page. Minor adjustments can be made to these packages to suit specific requirements and any preparation time and costs will be agreed beforehand. 


Bespoke training will be charged at the above rates for delivery on the day, plus £70.00 per hour for preparation. Preparation time will be agreed beforehand, please contact me to discuss individual requirements.


Parental request for individual assessment of a child or young person

Note price increase from 1st April 2022
This would normally cost £500.00 (£570.00 from 1st April 2022), but is subject to prior agreement with parents/carers, since complex cases are likely to require more time. The fee charged includes:


  • A visit to the child/young person’s school or setting in order to observe the pupil in class and speak with staff/key workers;
  • Individual work with the child/young person; and
  • Follow up, including scoring of tests, a feedback meeting with school staff and parents and preparation of a full written report. 


A full diagnostic SpLD/Dyslexia assessment and written diagnostic report that conforms to SASC (SpLD Assessment Standing Committee) guidance costs £700.00 (£760.00 from 1st April 2022).


Follow up meetings are charged at the hourly pay as you go rate of £95.00 per hour

​A half day monitoring visit can also be booked (ideally after at least a term after the original assessment) at a cost of £300 (including a written summary)

Supervision
£40.00 per hour if delivered at Jane Yeomans’ home or via FaceTime/Skype/Zoom/Teams

A 10% discount is given for advance booking of 6 x 1.5 hour sessions (which will cover supervision time for an academic year). Payment in full of £324.00 is required prior to session one.

Travel time and costs will be added if supervision is delivered face to face at a venue other than Jane’s home.

ICAN Talk Boost and Early Talk Boost training
Delivery of training for both of these programmes will be charged at the day rate of £500. If training is delivered in one day then travel costs and time will be included. Travel costs and time will be added if training is delivered one or two sessions at a time.

Note that there is an additional cost for resources for these programmes which is payable direct to ICAN once training has been booked. Currently this is £500.00 for both programmes.


Teaching: Instrumental Enrichment (IE)

This programme requires a minimum of two hours per week, delivered in two separate hourly sessions.

Two hours of IE costs £120.00. This includes time for preparation between sessions, a brief weekly summary giving advice about follow up, travel time and costs up to a 30 mile radius of Harborne, Birmingham. Travel over a 30 mile radius will incur costs as detailed below.​​

​A 10% discount is given for advance booking of 10 x 2hour sessions (which will cover one term of teaching). Payment in full of £1080 prior to session one is required.


Teaching: Direct Instruction

This programme requires a minimum of three hours per week, delivered in three separate hourly sessions.
Two hours of IE costs £120.00. This includes time for preparation between sessions, a brief weekly summary giving advice about follow up, travel time and costs up to a 30 mile radius of Harborne, Birmingham. Travel over a 30 mile radius will incur costs as detailed below.​​
​A 10% discount is given for advance booking of 10 x 2hour sessions (which will cover one term of teaching). Payment in full of £1080 prior to session one is required.


Therapeutic work

Number of sessions will be agreed prior to commencement of work. For Cognitive Behaviour Therapy or Motivational Interviewing work, a minimum of 6 sessions is needed. Drawing and Talking requires 12 sessions. All therapeutic sessions are delivered weekly and the cost is £60.00 per session (with additional travel time costs if over a 30 mile radius of Harborne).


Research, development and project work

​Follow up planning meeting: £150, which includes:

  • ​1.5 hour face to face meeting
  • ​Written summary, including a quote for time and costs
  • ​Travel time and costs up to a 30 mile radius of Harborne, Birmingham. Travel over a 20 mile radius will incur costs as detailed below.


Chess consultancy

Chess consultancy is charged at £40.00 per hour.
